Like many commercial properties, your facility probably has an evacuation plan should an emergency occurrence require occupants to leave quickly. Everyone in the workplace must understand the evacuation plan, how they should exit the building and where they should go once they are outside.
SERVPRO of Cass and St. Joseph Counties can provide emergency contact information, tools, and resources needed to help ensure an effective plan is in place. Until our crews arrive, here are some helpful tips you can use to help limit the damage:
- Limit movement of people in the facility to prevent soot particles from being embedded into upholstery and carpets.
- Place dry, colorfast towels on carpeted traffic areas to prevent more soiling.
- Wipe soot from chrome trim, then protect with a light coating of lubricant.
Should fire damage occur in your facility, call SERVPRO of Cass and St. Joseph Counties at 269-273-8777 where we make fire damage "Like it never even happened."
